COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: How long is your class?

A:  Typically, the classroom portion takes around 4 hours.  After the class, we go to a range for qualifications.  Plan on a total of about 5 to 5.5 hours.  Class size can dictate the duration of the class.

Q: What does your qualification course consist of?  What is a passing score.
A: The qualification course is a 50 round course on a silhouette target shot at 3 distances.  To qualify, you must attain a 70% score.

Q:  How old do I need to be to attend a class?

A:  Technically, people of any age may attend the class.  However, to receive a certificate and apply for a Minnesota permit, you must be 21 years of age.  You do have one year from the date of the class to apply for a permit.  So, a 20 year old could take the class and apply after turning 21.

Q:  Do I need to own a handgun to take the class.

A:  Absolutely not!  I have handguns available to use on the range for your qualification course.  .22lr handguns are available to use for the course at no additional charge.

Q:  Do you offer group rates?

A:  Absolutely!  The more the merrier!  If you book a group of 4 or more, the discount is $10 off per person.

Q:  Do you offer private classes?

A:  Yes!  If you have a group, large or small, that would like to be just yourselves, private classes are available.  Contact us and we can work out the logistics that works best for your group.
